About the Opportunity

Nursight Recruitment is partnering with a small, close-knit psychotherapy practice seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in mental health care.

The practice is actively looking for an NP who can provide in-person clinical support, based on patient demand. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about mental health and enjoys working within a collaborative, personable environment alongside a dynamic team of mental health professionals.

The right candidate will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and support clients across a range of mental health concerns.

The Role

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive ADHD/ADD assessments

• Conducting psychiatric assessments for conditions including ODD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns

• Developing individualized treatment and care plans

• Providing clinical insight to support ongoing therapeutic care

• Prescribing and managing medications when clinically appropriate and within scope of practice

• Educating and supporting patients and families regarding diagnoses and mental health management

• Providing appropriate follow-up and monitoring

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Collaborating with counsellors, therapists, social workers and other members of the care team

• Providing trauma-informed, person-centred care

What We're Looking For

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)

• Approximately 2+ years of experience preferred

• Demonstrated experience conducting psychiatric and mental health assessments

• Background in mental health, primary care and/or community health

• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

• Compassionate and collaborative approach to patient care

• Comfortable practicing independently while working alongside a multidisciplinary mental health team

Hours & Flexibility

• Approximately 10–15+ hours per week (based on patient demand and availability)

• The practice offers flexibility in scheduling and is open to working around the right candidates existing professional commitments.

• There is a strong current need for in-clinic availability, making this particularly suitable someone who can dedicate one or more days per week to seeing patients at the practice.

Compensation

• $70–$90 per hour clinical hour

• Compensation within the range will be based on experience and qualifications.

Location: Smithsville, ON and Beamsville, ON
